On 10. Dec. 2025, some people from Korea Institute of Educational Facility Safety came to the Headquarters Tsukuba, and Dr. Fujiwara from Hyogo Earthquake Engineering Research Center gave them a presentation about the testing facility and research at E-Defense. In the presentation, the background of the construction, testing performance and videos from the past research were introduced. In addition, as an example, the plan, preparation and result of the shake table test on a shake table test conducted recently. After the presentation, we had questions about how to extend research outcomes, seismic countermeasures, experimental techniques and seismic damage seen in internal spaces. It was really a great time, since the visitors listened to the presentation with a strong interest in earthquake engineering.
