On October 7, we conducted a self-defense firefighting drill.
A total of 62 participants took part in this drill, including E-Defense staff and personnel involved in maintenance, management, and experiment preparation.
This drill simulated a scenario where a fire broke out at the control panel for the X-axis shut-off valve unit in the underground pit of the experiment building, 10 minutes before shaking test was scheduled to begin, while many visitors were present for a public experiment. We successfully guided experiment personnel observing the experiment from the second-floor walkway on the south side of the experiment building to safety outdoors and completed the evacuation early.
