01Agreement to Terms of Use (Please make your application only after agreeing to the “Permission for Use.”)

• Please use the materials in line with purposes such as DRR awareness, DRR education, and media coverage. Please refrain from using them for commercial purposes such as product advertising, service promotion, or sales.
• If a production created using the materials is to be used for purposes outside of the permitted use, such as for commercial or for-profit purposes (including cases where materials are distributed for a fee, even if for DRR awareness or education), please contact us at e-def@bosai.go.jp.
• The materials may not be reproduced, transferred, or lent to third parties. Please refrain from any use that may damage the reputation of our institute (including biased use toward specific parties) or that may infringe on individuals’ portrait rights.
• The provided materials do not endorse the activities of any specific individual or organization.
• The materials may not be altered through methods such as combining with other images, deleting, editing, or superimposing. For audio, please do not add other sound effects. If partial cuts are necessary due to measurement or length adjustments (such as enlarging photos or trimming before/after the main footage), please consult with us in advance.
• In productions created using the materials, please clearly state either “Provided by National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, E-Defense” or “Courtesy of National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, E-Defense.”
• After completing the production, please submit a sample of the finished product (DVD/VHS or another viewable format) or a copy of the published magazine, etc. Also, please inform us in advance, as much as possible, of planned broadcast dates, publication dates, and so on.
• In the event that any issues arise regarding productions created using the loaned materials, the applicant will be responsible for handling them.
• If you wish to obtain the materials on DVD, please note that the shipping and return costs will be at your expense.
